
Most MagnaCharger supercharger kits are available with intercoolers. An intercooler reduces the discharge temperature of the compressed air from the supercharger. Physics, in this case Boyles Law, states that when air is compressed it gets hotter. A rule of thumb is that for every 10 degrees that you can reduce the temperature, a 1% power increase can be gained. Even more efficiency is available!
When looking at buying a supercharger, don’t make the mistake of being concerned only with peak horsepower numbers. People drive so infrequently at the peak power range, that it is pretty much an insignificant number. MagnaCharger supercharger systems demonstrate a remarkably flat torque curve, meaning that your power to the wheels is demonstrated throughout the power range.
